Sometimes your precious dog has rolled around in something nasty outdoors, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. All you know is that your canine stinks, and you’ve tried just about everything to alleviate the stench, but Fido still smells bad.

Try our successful home remedy to get rid of the stink now!

Step 1. In a pail, mix these three ingredients together:
1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda and 2 teaspoons of Dawn’s dishwashing liquid. If your dog is of a large breed, then you might have to double or triple the mixture.

Step 2. Apply the mixture while your pet’s coat is dry, starting from the collar back toward the tail. Most importantly, leave the mixture away from your dog’s eyes, as the hydrogen peroxide solution can burn them.

Step 3. Build up a good lather, and rub the mixture into your pet’s coat and skin for about 5 minutes. If your dog’s head smells, take a sponge and carefully apply the mixture around the forehead, ears, chin, etc, but skipping the eyes.

Step 4. Do a complete rinse. Hopefully, the smell has disappeared. Remember that when rinsing your dog’s head area, tilt the chin upward so the mixture does not run down into the eyes. Allow the water to run back off your dog’s neck instead.

This effective home remedy should certainly get the mystery odor off your adorable pooch.
